About

Saikat Datta is a Senior Lecturer at Swansea University. He has over a decade of research experience in micro/nanofluidics, multiphase flow, and multiscale flow modelling using molecular dynamics (MD) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD).

His research has been published in top-tier journals such as Nano LettersNanoscale, and Fuel, and has been featured in the press, including Phys.org. He has presented at leading international conferences, including MNF, ICMF, and InterPore.

He received his PhD in 2018 from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, and subsequently held postdoctoral research associate positions at the University of Edinburgh. In 2021, he was awarded a highly competitive Leverhulme Trust Early Career Fellowship to pursue independent research on vibration-driven de-icing at the University of Edinburgh.
